SELECTING A STONE FOR YOUR SPACE

At DLCo Interiors, we source our stone primarily from the renowned quarries of Carrara, Vagli, Verona, and Rome—regions that embody Italy’s rich heritage of stonework and marble artistry.

The Carrara region, nestled in Tuscany, stands as the heart of the world’s most storied quarries, where generations of stonemasons have perfected their craft.

To give clients a deeper understanding of our materials, we’ve created a comprehensive Stone Material Guide—detailing each stone’s origin, characteristics, finish options, and care recommendations to help you select and the perfect stone for your space.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

Drawings & Approval

All technical drawings are created based on our interpretation of the client’s provided sketches or specifications. DLCo Interiors cannot assume responsibility for errors or omissions resulting from these drawings once approved. We strongly advise reviewing all dimensions and design details carefully prior to confirming the work order.

Dimensions cannot be altered or changed once the customer approved documentation.

By proceeding with a fabrication piece, customer is accepting these conditions.

Stone Variation

It is important to note that DLCo Interiors stone pieces are crafted using natural stone by human hands. Natural stone is an organic material with variations in color tone, veining, spotting, and fissures. These characteristics are not flaws but part of what makes each piece unique. No two slabs or blocks are exactly alike. Fissures and pits are not to be considered defects as they are part of the stone.

Stone swatches, images, and/or stone samples are to serve as reference ONLY and are not binding. Each stone block and its subsequent slabs will vary. Please inquire if you have additional questions on variance by stone type.

Finish and Dimension Tolerance

Natural stone may exhibit minor variations in scale and finish. Industry-standard tolerances are observed. We advise coordinating with your installer to confirm precise dimensions before installation.

Sealing and Maintenance

As with all natural stone, sealing and ongoing maintenance are essential to preserve its beauty. Neglect or improper care may cause staining or surface etching. DLCo Interiors cannot be held responsible for damage arising from misuse or insufficient maintenance.

For full instructions on maintaining natural stone, please visit our Stone Material Guide.

Production Lead Time

All lead times are estimates and may vary based on availability, production schedules, and shipping constraints. We are not liable for delays caused by freight carriers or supply chain interruptions. DLCo Interiors cannot be responsible for ANY costs of contractor fees or project related delays.

Please note that all delivery dates are provided as estimates and cannot be guaranteed. We recommend scheduling installation only after product has been received and thoroughly inspected on site. DLCo Interiors is not liable for contractor fees, rescheduling costs, or project delays resulting from shipping timelines or unforeseen circumstances.

For full details on our production process & lead-times, please read our Shop Policies.

Shipping & Delivery

DLCo Interiors partners with trusted third-party freight carriers for delivery; all shipments are subject to their respective terms and conditions. Once an order has departed our facility, DLCo Interiors cannot assume responsibility for delays, damages, or issues occurring in transit.

All deliveries are curbside only. Delivery teams are not authorized to move materials indoors or assist with unpacking. Clients are responsible for inspecting all items upon arrival and reporting any concerns within 48 hours, accompanied by photographs and documentation.

For full details, please refer to our Shipping Guidelines and Delivery Inspection Protocol (via our Shop Policies Page) prior to receiving your order.

Installation Acceptance

Installation constitutes acceptance of the material in its grade, color, finish, and overall suitability. This standard aligns with accepted practices across the construction industries.

We strongly recommend inspecting all materials prior to installation and addressing any concerns before work begins. DLCo Interiors cannot be held responsible for issues identified after installation, and installed materials are not eligible for replacement, repair, or compensation. For additional details, please refer to our Installation Guidelines.

Installation Disclaimer

We highly recommend that all products be installed by a licensed professional experienced in working with natural stone. Improper installation may result in damage or product failure and is not covered.

Installation Guidelines

For any material-related questions, please first consult with your licensed stone installer. Should concerns remain, our studio is available for additional support. Variations in color, texture, veining, size, and finish are inherent to natural stone and are to be expected.

If visible concerns arise prior to installation, do not proceed until resolved. Because every project is unique, installation methods must be confirmed with a qualified natural stone professional who can specify the exact requirements for your space.
